End-of-Life Doula Network

Thank you for your interest in learning more about the services offered by end-of-life doulas.

The term “doula” means “one who serves”.  You may be familiar with birth doulas who assist a mom while birthing  or help afterward.  Modeled similarly, end-of-life doulas provide non-medical, practical, emotional and spiritual support for the individual who is facing the end-of life, and their loved ones saying good-bye.  End-of-Life doulas are known by many different names, such as; death doulas,  thanadoulas, soul midwives, end-of-life specialists, providers, practitioners, coaches, or guides.  They all focus lovingly, and specifically on the wishes of the client/family to facilitate a comfortable, peaceful, and meaningful death.

The individuals shown below have successfully completed the Certified End-of-Life Specialist Training Program or are in the process of taking the CEOLS coursework, and have the relevant work/life background  to help you with your end-of-life support requests.  If you are interested in hiring an end-of-life doula, simply click on any picture or the “Learn More” button to find out more about a specific end-of-life doula.

Each doula provides various offerings and different areas of expertise. Some doulas offer “Consulting Doula” services only, meaning they are only available virtually via Skype or other video conferencing, to anyone, anywhere in the world.  Some doulas offer both consulting and hands-on/or in-person doula services.  It is recommended that you view a doula profile and contact them directly for a consultation.  We are excited to share more about these fabulous human beings who are passionate about working with you to serve yours/your loved ones’ needs during this most sacred passage.
